Celica GT-four
« on: 15 August 2012, 21:07 »
I have accidentally become a part owner of a 1989 Celica Gt-four with the 3S-GTE engine and we are having some problems that someone may be able to help with, after being stood for over a year we managed to jump start it and it ran and drove (on a private road) fine then cut out.
It has a spark on all four cylinders, there is petrol getting through to the injectors and the engine turns over on the starter motor (cambelt is fine) but it just won't fire up anymore, any ideas?

Im sure the fuel filter is near the tank on those under the car, under lots of pressure though so watch your eyes.

Make sure that your injectors are working, check spark plugs for wetness?  pull an injector out,  it should fine mist in spurts when cranking.

If the injectors are stuck shut you will have to chase the prob through the wiring, ecu or the fuse box.
