Hello,
I have a strange knocking noise when I come off the accelerator if Im in 2nd or 3rd gear. If I change straight up to 3rd from 2nd it doesnt happen and the same changing up from 3rd to 4th. When I come off the pedal I get a judder and the knock, always just one knock, that sounds quite tinny.
Its a 1998 1.8 20v GTi turbo, I had the garage check the engine mounts when it had its MOT last week and they are all fine.
Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or anyone have an idea of what is causing it it?
