Anyone Used These Springs/Coilovers?
« on: 14 August 2012, 22:44 »
Hi

Recently purchased a VR6 for a measly £400, so far all seems to be ok apart from needing a good polish but something I am not happy about is the suspension, it's been lowered on springs but they are really bouncy. Obviously I want Coilovers but as this is only a daily and I am currently building a MK1 from bare shell I don't really want the cost of buying some, however have come across these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390333343732?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D390333343732%26_rdc%3D1#ht_505wt_689.

Can anyone advise if they have tried them and they are ok? Seems a novel idea using your original dampers and being able to compress the springs they supply, and of course a lot cheaper, I'm just concerned about the spring being too soft or too hard.

Any info would be a great help.

Thanks

D.

I have seen these come up a few times on forums and there is not one single good review. Opinions are all as above!!! A cheap coilover kit is only £200. I had a set of cheapies on the front of my mk1 caddy and for the money you can't complain really.
