On doing this mk3 dash swap. My main reasons for doing this was because its not a common modification, I wanted the mfa, and I wanted the OBD port. However it doesn't seem to have an OBD port (it's an early 92 K reg, is this right?) and I've found a LOT of bodged wiring near the ignition (from where the previous owner removed an immobiliser, it doesn't appear to have the standard column mounted one either) that has been rejoined by twisting wires together then wrapping with insulation tape

so now I'm a bit put off by the idea.
Any thoughts?
