Ta bud, Ill keep this one then, Im really fussed about it making a noise. Its still not firing after Ive twisted it. Will replace the vac line tomorrow with some blue silicone hose, atm it looks like its got fuel hose to operate it which might not be forming a full seal as its really hard and its a little too big with rubbish clips. If that still doesnt work Ill make sure the piston is moving freely.

Been having a look at the rear sticky brake today. Thought id find rust on pads as its been stood with the hrandbrake on for a while. Didnt though, wire brushed them anyway, re-greased sliders. Must be a piston problem, Ill take the cover off around the piston, put some lube down there and wind it back with a g-clamp see if that free's it up. Failing that Ill just pop a new caliper on.

Considering I sprayed it in the dark pretty much, the front splitter came out well

Car is looking alot more respectable now. Cant wait to get the new mirrors on.

Got my timing belt kit too... Putting that job off untill the weekend though

Also I think im going to spray the wheels.. Unless anyone wants to buy them/ swap with something deacent?! 3 good tyres, a rear tyre is getting a bit bald on the inside due to camber.

Cheers matey, Ill go do that now since Im bored!

Think Im going to keep this car now as a daily driver. Going to knock my other car off the road and keep it as a track car. Quite like this golf now.

And yup, rattle canned it  I have rattle canned alot of splitters/ skirts in my time now so can get them pretty good haha! I didnt think there was any point of putting it through the gun as its probably going to get stone chipped again, so when that happens ill just spray back over it.

Not one of my finest moments - What a divvy.

Anyway there I was tearing the caliper apart when I realised I had run out of brake fluid. Not only that but after I cleaned all the crap off the piston, I remembered it was a wind in caliper! Didnt stop me trying to wind it back in by hand  got one turn out of it then gave up. Kinked the hose, cable tied it up, wheel back on and without brakes shot out of my garage, down the drive round the corner and parked it on the side of my house and left it in gear. Will take the caliper off to a mates garage in the morning to be wound back in and go buy some fluid! Feeling pretty special right now  no fluid lost out of the brake hose tho so no air entering the system which is good atleast lol.

Yeah I left most of my tools at my other house so didn't have any. Sorted now, have fluid aswell now so will bleed when I've got someone to stand on on the pedal. Calliper is nice and free now. Quite ironic that brake fluid can be used to clean up the piston. Might do the other side for good measure too so it doesn't jam up like this one has.
