Unlocking Boot

Is the lock barrel line on verticle? and there is something the boot handle should pull onto to open the door.. is that attached?

locks in the verticle position buy sized solid

Exactly the same as mine mate. Looks like a new barrel is needed for us both lol

an 70% of all mk4s now 

EVERY Golf I have owned has had a problem with the boot lock.

mine plays up occasionally  wd40 seems to work for a while tho

i dont care about the lock not working with the key just the remote i want to work i have changed the motor over but still not working its like there no power going to the motor fuses are ok in the fuse box is there any other fuses in the car to check??
