new key?

now then im thinkin of getting a new key made....im guessing all i need is just another blank key as there is no immobiliser built in or anythin am i right?

The key will have an inbuilt immobiliser chip. Go to your local Timpsons and they will cut you a spare key and programme the chip to suit.
About £40 it will cost  :smiley:

early pre 94 keys are as you said "just standard keys" and any where can do them

later chipped keys can be done by most decent key cutters for under £30 coded

yep and timpsons do them (my local one charge £25 inc code for the mk3's)
