I did reject my car from Sunderland. The only reason I'm still in a Volkswagen is because of the Durham garage. They were really helpful in the end. I'd never go anywhere near the Sunderland garage ever again.

I Had my car in at the local dealer recently for 6 days to sort out a knock coming from the boot.

90 miles of test drive later, it was returned no fault found.

The noise is still present; shambles.

tbh if you game me the keys to your car, it would probably be much lower than 19mpg when you got it back

... in all seriousness I had a similar thing when I got my car back as they had used over a quater of a tank of fuel. I was told this was down to dropping an picking up other cars. Its common practice I heard, and there isnt much you can do about it. Apart from give them the car on empty

Same thing happened to me at Pulman Volkswagen. The Sunderland boys picked up my rattling GTi and brought it back with a kerbed alloy and torn tyre side wall, then accused me if doing it. The Durham boys drained a tank of fuel and gave it back with grime on the steering wheel and food crumbs throughout the car.
the past day I have been told a couple of storys and I'm rappidly going off the idea.of using pulmans Durham.
But no idea of who to use instead.

My next Service is booked in at Benfield silverlink. Not sure if they'll be any better. They're all the same tbh!

Some paranoid folk on this thread .

Its ok to flog the tits off a courtesy car and bring it back empty , but its alright to get you knickers in a twist about a few miles extra in your p&j.

Had my A6 serviced at Mill Audi many moons ago , when i went to collect it , it was being used to collect some parts at Mill Vw about a mile away as part of its road test .

So whats the big deal ? Hardly anything happened on this thread that is worth losing sleep over.

Dont let them wash it from experiance. They did the void bushes on our Ibiza. Did a very good job but they washed the car and the paint looked like it had been attacked by a scowering pad, and all protection had been removed, worst looking paint i had ever ever seen. I was not happy as i had just sorted the paintwork a week earlier.

when you hire a car YOUR paying to abuse their car - if you choose yo abuse it, which personally i wouldnt as im not a pleb.

when you put your car in for a service YOUR paying THEM to abuse YOUR car and thats acceptable?

if they used my car to pick up/deliver or do anything other then service it i would go of my head.

If you can afford to buy new tyres and alloys because the garage damages them then fine. nothing to lose sleep over? You must earn way more than I do.

+1

Also its the fact you are paying for a professional service and abusing a customers belongings no matter how big or small is not professional!

the issue regarding my service besides the above was that i got a car back with no fuel in it and considering i just paid over £100 for a service i had to fill the car up as there was not enough fuel to even get me home.
