I am pretty sure you can get r style ones from your local VW dealer......saw something on our intranet a few months back for golf and polo.
Do you know roughly how much vw would charge for them ?
Not sure as to whether I am a fan or not. I think its maybe because there are far too many cars with the cheap aftermarket ones and it has sort of tarnished the actual DRL's a little bit.

Very OEM look to them, not like a row of LEDs on a piece of cable with I assume you mean, each LEDs has its own housing same as OEM. Only thing is the LEDs are slightly bluer, but to anyone looking at them you would not know unless parked next to an OEM set. I seen it as a hassle free quick fix to the halogens at a fraction of the price.
