Hi,
Thought I join up as I'm looking to buy a MKv Gti. I've got my eye on one at the moment but I'm waiting on some information first.

Anyway, this will be my second GTI and my second Golf.
To win mass friends I'll make this statement. The mk3 gti I had was the worst car I've ever owned. 8v engine and nothing gti about it. The mk5 i have at the moment (1.6 fsi) isn't much better (wife's car I should say).
Now, after that pleasant fact I'll be a bit nicer and say that I really like the MKv gti. I'd like something a bit faster and maybe a chip might see to that but time will tell.

Anyway, what I do love is the passion the gti gets and the knowledge that's shared, makes car ownership so much better and enjoyable.

Hopefully I've not alienated myself

Didn't last long. No full vw service, infact no 2009 stamp. It was a 2007 car so in 09 it was still under warranty but I can't find any proof of a 09 service. Madness!!!! Full vw otherwise. I don't see the point in buying a car that hasn't got at least a full service history, main dealer or not.
The hunt goes on then.

Anyone got a sub 50k mile, 5 door, gti in White for sale? Near £10k max.

Hens teeth!!!!
