Struggling to make a decision!
« on: 04 August 2012, 20:18 »
I can't decide whether to sell my CC or not!

I only bought the car in June but I already have 2 cars laid up and I really miss driving my Volvo.

The car does have a couple of faults: A vibrating fan, both the handbrake and airbag warning lights are on and it needs a new front tyre.

On the car at the moment currently are some black and blue Audi A3 alloys but would the car be more saleable with more sensible wheels? My plan was to put to get some steelies and paint them white but I know this wont help with the sale of the car!

Here's the car:

So, should I sell as it is? Buy different wheels then sell? Or just shut up and keep it?
Thoughts please  :undecided: I know these are worth more broken but it would be a shame to do that when there's nothing major wrong with it!

In the morning I bet there'd be no decision to make!

There is no doubt that this is a fun little car and gets noticed but maybe for the wrong reasons lol

I miss my 5pot roar from the V70 and the quirkiness of my mint 480 Celebration.

Just pissed off with the Golf as I tried to put the spare on today but it wouldn't clear the calipers lol! At least I now know why it has spacers on the front!

I won't keep this forever as it's underpowered compared to what I'm used too, plus the V70 has been with me since I was 15!

Keep it, may not be the quickest car on the road but will be cheap to run.

Keep it mate. I've done the same many times and I no what you mean about the Volvo as I had one of the nicest cream yellow 850 T-5 R's in the country a few years back and even tho it was an amazing car no matter how many times I have got rid of a mk3 golf gti thinking I want more power again (and my T-5 R was over 400bhp). I alway missed the mk3 and had to get another one. Out of all the cars iv owned including evo's cozzies and an insane Volvo nothing has made me miss a car more than a mk3. Don't no why or what it is once you get hooked you just get hooked.
You will regret selling it.

I'm going to get some new wheels, whether I sell it or not I still haven't decided.

I will be sorting the issues before I put her up for sale though and to be honest I am probably going to put up for sale on the quiet, in no hurry to shift it mind. I've just got it in my head that I need to get the 480 out for some fun. Great little car, not that fast but it sure is fun to drive!

It's been in the garage now for about 1 year and I really want to get it out and start spending some money on it, suspension upgrade and wheels etc.

So yeah, basically the Golf will be offered for sale in a few weeks or so I say.
