CCM versions
« on: 04 August 2012, 10:39 »
Now I've got my MFD I would like to have the "doors open" feature on it which I guess is down to the CCM?

If so is there any particular one I should be looking for?

Basically it's just the display in the clocks telling me each door is open. I'm wondering if I can use a Passat version...

I know the 3B passat ones are the same, I remember a thread in ukmivs about this with some partn numbers of the suitable ccms, I'll see if I can find it. Don't you also ave to change to door modules to 2002+ ones (I think?) so it shows which door?

You ready for another headache then Wes...

Basically you will need the CCM and window motors and maybe the door locks from an immo3 Golf (post mid 2001) as the window motors from an immo2 golf don't work with an immo3 CCM, I can't remember if the door lock modules are the same though between immo2 and 3 though. There will be some wiring to do too.

You don't need locks according to this guide but you will need a new remote as your old one won't work (different frequency) :afro:
