Been on here for a week or two browsing and what not and thought it was about time I said hello and showed everyone my new colour concept.
Its my 3rd mk3 and definately my favourite. Originally saving for a mk5 GT TDI until I came across this little gem, its a '97 5dr colour concept on a genuine 61,542 miles. The guy that had it brought it off his mate that was moving to Australia, its been well looked after with the usual maintenance done. Came with coilovers, rolled and flared arches and some standard VW fat five spoke wheels. The guy taxed and mot'd it the day after I brought it and it passed with only slight play in steering (track rods n ends which iv already purchased).
The bad bits are probably the age related scratches pretty much all over it, so im going to look at a respray after everything else is how I want it. And also it looks like the drivers side doors have had a bash at some point and has been fillered and re-sprayed as you can see the filler start to drop, and bumps in the paint. Slight rust bubble on the drivers side wing, passenger is like new so i think its already been replaced, little bit of rust above the windscreen and tiny amount in the door traps.
Iv put smoked indicators (side + fronts) and blanks on, tinted the fogs yellow, vr6 splitter which is smashed and soon to get replaced, cam belt, aux belt, PAS belt, interior strip out to give a deep clean and treat the leather, also ran the cables to the boot for my amps, all new engine and gearbox oil, new track rods and ends, machine polish and probably a few more things i cant remember. Plans are to get new wheels (D90, BBS rs ect), complete my custom audio install (takes ages because i f%$&ing hate fibreglass), clean arches and underneath and redo underseal, get a few quotes for a respray.
