Baby Blue..... Have you done yours??? Cos ive been told i will need to remove some of the plastic trim inside the arche, you recon i will??? Whats this underseal all about and where is it available from?

not sure about the plastic inner arch things. havnt done mine yet mate

underseal is the black stuff they use to seal the whole underside of the car and it protects it from rust etc. can buy it from chavfords and places liek that

any ideas how much i will be able to cut from the rear before fitting the skin? i am guessing the lip will be joined.

Not sure what your asking. Mine were cut then folded.

Been told that the rears are double skins and have weld marks.. i dont want to have to start welding the arches so have again been told just to take enough off so not to go back as far as the weld..

So yours were cut back and then u have that little lip to rivot the plastic trims back on.. ummm... i was just gonna cut them and cover them in hammerite and then just stick the arches back on with "NO MORE NAILS! ( ) ...

I would cut just before the inner arch starts then fold the remaining outer arch inside to meet the inner arch. Then seal with hammerite and underbody sealant. My G60 arches were not riveted back on but bonded back on as you suggested.

Good thinking... when i get under the arch i am sure everything will all become clear!

When u say fold? i am guess u grab hold of it with a pair of plyers or bash it with a soft mallet...

sorry for all the questions.. Just dont like doing body work!! wanna get it right.. and i aint gonna pay someone nearly £300 to do it for me..
