Bringing the vr6 splitter back to its former glory?

Bit of a strange question but I have noticed that my front splitter is very light grey? Now I don't know if it's because over time it has worn or if it's just the normal colour. The only reason I ask is that anytime I see someone post a pic of there's with a vr6 splitter it looks a lot darker

I wouldn't mind except my car is black so doesn't quite look right?

Any way of tarting them up? Or best to buy a new one?

back to black or something similar,also  the heat gun gives really good results ,just gotta be careful not to melt it lol

Heat gun method is the best bet then just treat it with bumper gel or something similar afterwards. Shoould stay dark for ages.

Simply to turn it black again.

Heating it up brings the oils in the plastic to the surface thus giving it a new look. You can only do it so many times though before the plastic begins to dry out. You just kind of hover it over it gently and you will see it begin to happen. Too little and it will be patchy, too much and you will melt it. Mind take it off the car first if your doing it. Maybe have a practice on some old textured plastic fitst if you have anything lying about. If you get it right the results are superb.

get bumper spray, take it off and paint it and bingo blacker than your hat, i use trye shine on everything else
