Bbs ch colour change
« on: 31 July 2012, 17:03 »
I have a set of 18inch replica bbs ch's on my golf but they need a refurb and at the same time I'm thinking of changing the colour from silver to something a bit bonkers?
The golf is satin silver.
Was thinking an oldschool colour like lime green or orange but not sure what it'd look like or maybe another colour?
Not sure what I want lol, do any of you have any mad colour'd rims on your mk4? Maybe can suggest a few colours?
Also does anybody know a good wheel refurb place in Essex? Even better if there mobile!

Wheels painted in solid Pastel colours look great with silver, something like Pastel Peppermint Green could look very cool, and also some of the real old school VW colours from the 60's and 70's
Metallic colours other than Silver and Gold should be avoided, as they can look very naff, and Anthracite has been done to death for far too many years

Use this to find the correct colour for your wheels,

Find the area/segment that closest matches your cars paintwork, then look at the colour 180 degrees opposite, this is your ballpark colour for you wheels, this system is used everywhere! in advertising especially! because it works, nothing is by accident :lipsrsealed:

Nice one thom!

Was thinking of doing the black/grey look but as you say has been done to death now.
I like the idea of pastel peppermint or sky powder blue for the wheels cos I could then build the rest of the cars theme around that, I also have the blue/black recaro seats so would look good against them.

I don't suppose you have a website stored in your mind that has the oldschool vw colour codes do you?
