Seat Leon TDI

hi
Managed to save a bit of cash the past few months, and our mk4 gti is about to die!! :sad:
But ive found a 2007 Seat Leon 1.9TDI for £2700!!!
its got just under 100k, 1 owner, FSH and is pretty mint!!
Should i steer well clear or is this a bargain??

What's your justification for possibly steering clear?  Not giving us much to go on.

Have you actually seen the car, in the flesh?

sorry yeah, it just seems really cheap to me, its an ex lease car if that makes any difference? just wondered if these cars are riddled with problems?
nah havent seen the car its 300 miles away from me! so wanted to do me research before i bought it!

You have to be careful with ex lease cars sometimes, it would have more than likely have had all sorts of people driving it to an inch of it's life. The plus side is that it was probably serviced frequently but often not enough to warrant the abuse it may have had.

However, that should not put you off considering it for the right price but with cars like these, well all cars really, the only research that is going to be of any real use is to go and and check out the car in person.

Answering your question, I know someone who has a Leon TDI and it has been a great car to them for a number of years.

My parents just got £4750 for their 56 plate 140bhp TDI with about 50k on it.

Twas not in good condition.

Keeping my distance to avoid any of it being my fault later.  They're in an A3 now.
