If your a fool then that makes the majority of us fools as well ! ÂÂÂ
Modifying cars can become a expensive past time but also far more rewarding having something a bit different than spending the same or more hard earned dosh on a flash new motor straight out of the box ( IMO)
When I used to work at a dealership I drove all sorts Flash,Quickmotors including Quattros etc but when I parked my C reg mk2 Gti in front of the showroom it got far more attention than any of the new or newer VWs or Audis, because it was different ( 7x15 TSW Cross spokes, lowered Sebring twin oval) (bearing in in mind this was back in 1990).
I always enjoyed the drive home

It still got compliments from ordinary customers up until I reluctantly PX'd it for a S reg Passat 18t Sport back in 2001( the bloke was chuffed to bits with it ) VERY BAD MOVE

I even had quite a few offers when ,along with my Mk1 Gti ,were used as examples in the showroom when the Mk3 first came out.

If money was no object I would do every mod on the Vento that I have ( blown arches , 18t conversion etc) to make it a one off as its nice to know that no one has exactly the same car as me. ÂÂÂ
I am often being asked what it is (as it's different from the norm) ÂÂÂ

GO for it!!! ( IMO)
