refitting rear shock on golf mk2 gti
« on: 30 July 2012, 09:44 »
I have replaced shock absorbers, put them back on car but cannot get lower mouting bolt in even with spring compressors on

Shock won't push up high enough to get the bolt in. Is there anything else to do ?
Or should i take spring compressors off and try using them again to compress more spring ?

Any help or advice would be appreciated, i am about 5 mm off getting the lower bolt it but can't seem to do it bu pushing shock up

Lever the rear axle downward?
Obviously make sure that's not where you have the axle stand.
