Vag com help
« on: 29 July 2012, 10:01 »
Hello there

I have  a 1997 GTI AGG engine.

I'm looking at buying a vag com.

Can anyone recommend a particular brand, and where to buy from?

Thanks in advance

vag-com or now vcds is made by ross-tech, they offer full kits but it's a bit expensive but guaranteed to work.

if you want to use vag com you can with a KKL 409 interface cable off ebay but then you have the issue of vagcom not being activated - and you only have basic functionality - i.e. can only read fault codes (not even full fault text for those codes).
