How annoying for you, I would take it to the dealer and ask them to resolve the issue as it must be part of the PDI (if you trust them).
Current: GTI Edition 35 Candy White 5dr DSG 19" Glendale, RCD510+DAB, Dynaudio, Storage Pack, Parking Sensors

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

Picked up my new R yesterday and my wipers are doing exactly the same today.  Will try cleaning the rubbers and the screen tomorrow...

I've found my brand new 'Match' doing this today too, think I'll give the blades & windscreen a bloody good clean.

Surely there's an issue here, spec of wipers?

Mine are perfect.

Mine are fine as well, never had any problems.
I just replaced the first set, after two years, with a new set of Bosch ones and they are completely silent.

I would have thought that if the window is squeaky clean, the rubber gets more grip and the worse the judder would be.

I gave mines a good clean with vinegar diluted water then buffed the screen with one scrunched up newspaper. Cleaned the blades with vinegar. Then I cleaned again with everyday glass cleaner.

So far they are smooth as can be! I let then go with the scooshers for a while and didn't judder once.

Looks as though VW are putting something on the screen thats causing the rubber to stick!

Ps, I hosed the car down tonight and noticed there was some form of soapy water mixture. Possibly a protection film thats been sprayed all over?
