Firstly nice one for getting the site back! you don't realise how much you miss it till it's gone....

Went to Leeds show and it was awesome! Never been to a VW show thing before and when i drove into a car park full of the things my jaw dropped! Especially pleased as my mate and I arrived together, me in my car and him in a renault works van, he got shown to the standard car park i was waved through to the 'priviledged' car park! After that i almost wet myself when i was in the que to get in behind Jo's (I don't know Jo but i gather that is his/her name) Mk1 TVR engined thing!! The sound of that engine in Mk1 golf... scary!

Anyways, I was just wondering if any of you guys exhibited your cars as i spent hours wandering up and down drooling and wondering if i recognised any of them!

G60 with the V5 engine caught my eye, and oak green 16v's..... oooh

Also where were the Jettas? I think i counted one.... so disapointing!

Note to self - polish engine bay!  :grin:

Sounds sweet.. i am still a VW show virgin.. but i cant wait to get my Mk2 show worthy and go to one.. There are a couple coming up.. GTI festival and British VW festival. anyone going to either... I hear GolfGTI will have a stand a both events.. Will be good to touch base with everyone..

you didnt see our big blue GolfGTI.co.uk banner ? we were the first club stand you could see as you enter the show, my car was on the stand (see sig. picture) as well as a few others :smiley:

i wasnt there... didnt realise the VW festival was this weekend.. my cars never gonna be ready... DOh..

...and my cab and after 11am there was also my camper ! :shocked: :laugh: If you were looking at the tvr/golf you'll probably have been stood right next to us. :laugh:

Hey jv, how funny are those before and after photos ! It's ok having Jo on our stands but he steals the fekkin show every time ! Anyone would think he's done something really good like put a mad engine in a mk1 golf and get it to work ! :wink: :laugh: :laugh:

i went to leeds show... woohoo... depsite taking moaning company with me.... first vw show... only had the car on the road 2weeks max!!  :laugh:
had a lovely wander round and got a lovely tan  :wink: wandered past the stand a couple of times - although i must admit i didn't dare stop cos i didn't recognise anyone...lol scaredy cat!
 did meet wotto and count tho...  :smiley:
def worth goin just to see what everyone else has done.... :kiss:

I guess it is difficult to go up to someone when you dont know who they are or if they are anything to do with golfgti.co.uk. Next time we'll all get rosettes made up or something, maybe be really crazy and have name tags and everything. :laugh: :laugh:
