« on: 28 July 2012, 11:43 »
May need to replace sump.  How difficult would this be please?
Seems unlikely welding in situ is possibility.
Do not have access to lift.
New to GTI, advice please guys.

Drop oil, remove pipe that leads upto the turbo and remove oil sensor.
Alan key or 10mm socket to remove about 15-20 sump bolts.
Drop the sump and makesure you change the pick up pipe too as the sump is off anyhow and you dont want this blocking!

Then clean the surfaces up and apply a good sump sealant
Very easy and can be done in an hour quite easily maybe longer if its your first time.
1.6-1.8t AGU K03s, Forge actuator, Forge 007p, turbo back exhuast, Ths front mount, Catch can, 5 piece silicone boost pipes and creation sports tip. Stage 2 atm 232bhp 270lbs. Waiting for custom mapping :-)
