Stone chip on bonnet !!

Hi guys,

Giving the my new car a quick clean this morning and noticed a large stone chip on the bonnet !!!

Its only 6 weeks old !!!  :cry:

My paint colour is Tornado Red, what is the best way to touch this up and protect it from spreading?



I have just loaded the area with Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat Wax as a temp solution.

I also have the same problem 2 stone chips on my bonnet , but i don't think you can do very much except spray the bonnet , if you touch it up it can look worse  :rolleyes: :rolleyes:. I'm just waiting until I get a few more on there , the paint these days on VW's is bloody awful  :rolleyes:

Same problem on my one...2 stone chips on the bonnet.. :angry:

Just wait for more and will get a respray...

They say VW golf has hard paint, but I think the Golf ED35 has really soft paint...

I think it does too! Detailed a Black edition35 last week and the paint was soo soft. The owner did order a mk2 black for it though? Factory special and not metallic. Looked nice but I honestly wanted that thing out of my face  :evil:

You can get away with fixing that chip how it shows in that above thread^ I would use 2000 grit upwards though  :shocked:

Yep I could of used 2000 but 1500 was fine, I just went very very gently and used plenty of water and checked my work alot.
