Forge TIP to AGU engine
« on: 27 July 2012, 20:15 »
ok,was having a new water pump/cam belt etc fitted today,so asked the blokes at the garage to fit my Forge TIP-their saying that the end of the TIP that goes to the turbo wont fit onto the turbo end, rather that its meant to fit into the turbo and get bolted flush to it,but the end of the TIP is to small,as if there's a extra part needed????

i have no doubt ive  not described what they meant to well,i trust them to know what their on about, and having just looked at a picture else where on here of a turbo,i kind of understand what they mean,so what am i missing?

i wasnt there when they tried it,so im writting this kind of blind-i know several of you good people have silicone TIP's,so any advice would be much appreciated.

thats what is doing my head in-it should just slip over the end of the turbo and get jubilee clipped up tight right?

their saying that it would blow off as the end of the turbo is way to big?

think i need to ring the bloke i got the car off n see if the turbo is different from standard.

Forge TIP will fit both the K03 and K03s so they are doing something wrong IMO (not sure what though lol)

Get some pics up, something is wrong somewhere its common sence how to fit it.
Standard one comes off, Silicone goes back on the same way but using a jubilee clip not a alan key bolt.

Mine fitted absolutley fine on a k03 and k03s.
