Clutch to cope with 400-500bhp 1.8T?

Hi

 

Going to be running between the above power in a 1.8T 5speed setup and was wondering what clutch and flywheel I need to use?  be nice to factor in a bit extra BHP so I dont get slipping.

 

Anyone any ideas?

i think the 5 speed box starts to disintegrate after 300lbft.

My 5 speed has coped with 350lbft for 4yrs.
Clutch wise - not sure dude. I use a sachs organic but think its only good for 400-450. Maybe the caschs organic paddle clutch would do the job but then you have the on/off issue of paddle clutches.
What you planning on using the car for with 500bhp in a fwd?

Going fast in a straight line....ive learnt mk4s dont do corners quick.

Not fussed about on/off feeling...its 'not' a daily driver (altho i bet it will end up being)

Sure you dont mean the rods at 300lbft?

no mate i mean gearbox lol, ive already got IE rods and JE pistons. I rang awesome about fitting a IHI turbo and they also recommended changing my 5spd box to a 6spd box as the 5spd synchronism's tend to disintegrate after 300lbft.
