Nice, but I would personally prefer it if the horizon was flat, not curved upwards.

Yeah, I found in Photoshop CS5 a filter called Lens Correction where you can distort the image so the horizon is flat.

Of just use the original way and make sure that you correct it using the inbuilt tools in transform menu. Plenty of walthroughs to do it properly. The other thing is to actually sort your panning out as you rotate
