dam car going to work in early morning and the bloody thing wouldnt even unlock it just put the interior lights on. after 5 mins of trying it finaly decided to pop up so i grab the handle and opened it :angry: tired it at dinner it was fine and 2night coming home it was fine why only in the morning  :undecided:

i had the same problem it may be the convenience module under the steering wheel. they cost about £20

what that control then. well i had a new door module on the drivers side not even a year ago so shouldnt be that

The door modules can usually be repaired, the problem is that VW used a lack of solder. The constant opening and closing of means that the soldered joint cracks:

I've got a busted door latch solenoid on the drivers side. so i too get the door locking itself unless the key is in the ignition.
Has anyone repaired this via the Vortex guide or am i better off getting spanner jockey to replace with a new latch?

role your sleeves up n muck'in, its fun, did it to all my door cards n it works a treat, just makesure the nodes dont get soldered together :lipsrsealed:

my car locks itself even if u r in the car driving it but it only in the morning never at night when i finish work or if i try it at dinner only when it been stood all night intill the morning

found the convience module but it all looked gud it all strange now it only unlocks the boot and not the doors bloody German door locks
