Right ive had a bit of a pain recently with the battery going flat over night on Potter.
So i bought a new battery as it was charging fine and dandy.Flat battery the next morning.
Soo this evening i did a parasitic drain test and found 10amps was being drawn from the battery with the car in sleep mode.
Pulled fuses one by one and found that it was the 30amp cooling fan that was pulling the drain.
Pulled the plug off the fan motor and away it went.Put it back on and pulled the fan switch plug off and away it went.
So as ive not worked on the fans on these before im guessing they are a 2 stage fan,so i got the 3 pin plug off the fan switch and bridged 2 wires and got the second stage to come in.Went to bridge the other 2 and it sparked a tiny bit but no fan movement.
Am i right in thinking these are a 2 stage fan?
Would you say im looking at a new fan motor or a fan switch?
Just a bit of advice needed before i go buy a new fan.
Cheers lads.
