Fitted folding mirrors to my new R yesterday.  Got a complete kit off ebay for £150 (complete mirrors, door controllers and the switch). :cool:

Great, did it take long? Just as a matter of interest why didn't you tick the box when ordering?
Current: GTI Edition 35 Candy White 5dr DSG 19" Glendale, RCD510+DAB, Dynaudio, Storage Pack, Parking Sensors

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

The "kit" was from a breaker's yard and taken from a car that was being broken for spares.   The Ebay seller is called: d33lu786.  He doesn't seem to have any other kits in at the moment, but when I bought mine he was also had a 5 door kit on ebay as well (mine's a 3 door).

Great, did it take long? Just as a matter of interest why didn't you tick the box when ordering?

Took less than 2 hours - worst bit was pulling the door cards off, they took some shifting!  The rest was easy and the kit was a plug and play fitting - no coding was required and I've got folding, puddle lights and left side mirror dipping in reverse. :cool:  My R was an in stock cancelled order and lux pack was not specified.

Right i get you now, you mean you've the standard kit, i was talking about remote keyfob open/close !

Not an option on G6 for us here, so nada in a breakers yard. Local rocs all have them, wonder if they would work on a 4 door G6?

Won't be able to do that I'm afraid as Snoopy found out in another thread, uk spec vw's have diff modules to overseas customers...
