I've got a gti 20v turb S reg just been lookin at air filter induction kits and the one say somethin about air flow sensor...just need to know if they will fit on or is the sensor in the way or going to be effected it has been remapped by r-tech n got a forge piston but not sure if this will work? And which ones are best are the universal one just as good as the named ones?

I'd just go for a proformance panel filter personally.
I've had a 'induction kit' on mine the only difference I seemed to get was a louder noise, which annoyed me so I put the original box on with a k n N panel filter

Just get one of the induction kits on ebay or run a panel filter with a smoothed airbox.

I think the cheap ones do exactly the same thing as the expensive ones,
Just take the box off and put the air filter on, the sensor is on the pipe after the air box I think  :undecided:

No you get what you pay for. Try and copy the pipercross vis . I did it for £60/ better than paying £250. My car dont perform well with panel filter (k&n) or k&n induction kit. You need it close to the front of your car .  :wink:

regardless what you choose, you will never see any real power benefits, its all down to personal preference regarding the noise and OEM look, if you want the OEM look stick with the airbox and add an uprated panel filter such as Pipercross, K&N or ITG.
If you want the pschhhh louder then go for the ebay toyosports induction kit setup, the filter goes behind the front bumper though and is too close to the floor for some peoples liking so some chop around 1-2" off the end of the tube.

And yes your sensor (MAF) is directly after the airbox inbetween the TIP and airbox

ive recently put a pipercross induction kit on my 52 AUM and running with no problems
