Removing needles from dials....Whats the deal?

Hey guys going to be changing my dial faces for some silver anni ones with red needles. My question is do the needles just pull off and is there a technique to refitting them so there in the correct position. Don't want to ruin my clocks!! Cheers.

Been told to use a fork and gently lever them off.

I used a thin flat head to lever from behind - inbetween circuit board and dials. be very careful though

2 tea spoons from 9 and 3 o clock, spoon under dial centre, the push them down simultaneously and it will come up nicely and not break anything.

Cheers guys any advice on refitting, do the location of the needles need reset etc?

Put them on same position they came off or if you moved them zero
