The door card does not need to be removed, simply prise out the inside door handle insert and you will be able to unclip the tweeter. It's a 30 second job.

his car is e door so the rears doesnt have a handle. I think you unclip them. Have a fiddle about but be gentle am sure you will figure it out

Yes I levered mine out gently with a screwdriver- only to be confronted with no tweeter or cabling!!- same for the front set up, so I only have 4 speakers So that's the next job on the cards...

I never had rear speakers in my old 3 door. Only in the dash and front doors. To get them out the rear pull the rear bench up and theres plastic push pins, pull them out, unclip your inner side skirt sill covers, then theres 3 screws holding the B pillar in its clips, undo them and ease the rear panel out. Not hard at all.
You only need a decnt set of components upfront installed well to appreciate sound, heres some inspiration from the build in my old golf

Yes I have shelved the tweeter idea now- I have 8 speaker grilles 4 front/4 rear but only the lower door card 165mm circular grilles actually had speakers behind them. As my head unit is only 4x55W I have got some new Alpine SXEs that sound a lot better than the ones that were there before and seem really good value.
