very stable and much fun on the open waves... we did some (unsuccessful) mackerel fishing from them too... which was relaxing. they're good for exploring bays and bits out of the way, plus you get to see wildlife and the like which you might not see from shore

i grew up with the standard enclosed kayak's with a spray deck, i would be happy using either though

recommend that you factor in getting yourselves decent wetsuits if you don't already have them... keeps you nice and toasty and will extend your year round usage if you get a spring/autumn suit

Cheers, I'll look them up. Just sorted a good deal on 2 kayaks so hopefully should get them on friday. Now to figure out how to move them about!

Estate would have been good for the roof bars but I just didn't like the look of the MG wagens, they also seemed to be lower spec as a rule as well.

I'm currently looking at getting a 5' x 4' box trailer that is missing it's sides and floor which I can convert into a Kayak trailer.
