Don't supposed anyone has seen/heard of these before?

http://www.awesomegti.com/carbon-intake-2-0tsi

Very cheap.. but supposed to be quite good when I spoke to Awesome earlier.

Cheers,
Scott

It's now listed for £145 on the website, was £160 earlier so even cheaper

Spoke to Pipercross who don't really have any info on it. They suggest that it is exclusive to Awesome GTI which is why it's not listed anywhere else, which sorta makes sense. Confused.com but for that price might be worth a shot?!

Cheers.

I don't even think Pipercross make it and they just gave me the answer "it's exclusive to Awesome" to shut me up lol. They make the cone filter though.
I've found this which I think it is - www.carbonspeed.co.uk

However, it looks like their TFSI filter for MK5 GTI etc NOT their TSI filter for MK6 GTI..... how strange!

From Googling, I've found these Carbon Speed intakes on a few sites:

Awesome obviously lists the TFSI intake for MK6

http://www.waterwagens.co.uk/carbon-speed-vag-tsi-air-intake-scirroco--mk6-golf-526-p.asp - lists the TSI intake for MK6

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARBONSPEED-CAI-Induction-Kit-VW-Golf-Mk6-GTI-Scirocco-/170679277307 - TFSI intake for MK6

and more......

Of course it SHOULD be the TSI but strange how a few places show the TFSI intake..........  :lipsrsealed:

However just spoke to Carbon Speed and they don't supply Awesome....................... MegaConfused.com!

Spoke to Awesome again and they think it's a custom intake they had designed and not Carbon Speed.

Hi Scott.

It's the Carbonio Intake I have got. This one Awesome have got is identical. Are you planning on tuning your GTI up? If not then I would consider just a panel filter. If the filter is a pipercross then there are a well known company for filter so I think that's a great price compared to the CARBONIO ( which is just a K&n cone filter. Maybe as if it's a cotton filter or foam??

Hi Kenny, ahhh right ok thanks. It's mapped at the mo and I've been looking at exhausts.

It does seem a good price, if I get it will try and log air flow before and after. It's a foam filter but it doesn't require oiling.

Cheers,
Scott
