Door Card Leak

Hello All

Can clearly see theres water coming out the bottom of my door. When i open the door in the mornings (after rain) there is alot of water sitting there on the door sill.

I wanted to know if anyone could explain to me, how, if a door card is leaking, can that water make its way into my car and make, the drivers footwell and drivers side passenger footwell wet?

I have cleared the sun roof drains,and the ones coming out in the wheel arch, and judging by the picture below it must be the door seal causing my water leak!

Get some butyl strip off ebay and re-seal the bottom half of this panel with it.

i just done the full lot on a leon cupra i had  hated that job an mind buy some extra clips from the stealers before you do it

Had to do mine not so long ago, simple enough to do, just make sure you well and truely seal it or you'll be doing it twice

And don't use silicone or it will begin leaking again as soon as the cold weather comes.

silicone's the way ahead in this awesome summer stop the car getting wet, i did my miss' car last week end and its all sorted.  if you take the inserts out flush the drain holes through, i used a pimms jug. worked a treat

Silicone is no good as come the wiinter the water gets in behind it and freezes and expands causing it to leak again. Butyl strip which doesn't set or go hard is the way forward.
