bought mine for £2900 with 84k on the clock, one owner from new and M25 mileage...then the fun begins...

£1200 for my first major service -   steering colomn, wishbones all round, all engine pullies, new fan belt, air compressor, rear passenger wheel bearing, braided brake lines, full service...

6 months later...

£600 -   MOT, Minor Service, starter motor, minor oil leak (still not fooking sorted)

current...(and to do)

Modding time   Cambelt, Oil Catch Can, Carbon Delete, N249 delete, G60 clutch conversion, miltek cat back resontated GT60mm twin, rear 4mo valance with smoothed rear bumper, R32 front bumper, Euro Side Skirts, Cupra front splitter, Satin Respray, Roof Black Magic spray, custome Recaro leather interior retrim, carbon wrap door cards and center console, W8 courtesy light (sunroof version), pillar mounted boost gauge, Rota drift 18", coil overs, tinted windows, tailgate smoothed with beetle pop lock, Rtech spec 1 remap, Audi TT vent mod...am i missing anything?

worked it out... after all the above my house deposit would be reduced to £43.90...just enough for a light up gear knob with GTi on it and a new gaitor

Mk4 Golf 1.8t AUM, Wintersports Addition. PiperX panel filter, 008p Forge DV, Toyosports DP 3", Miltek Anni Style CatBack non resonated, APR Sport CAT 200Cell, Catch Can RS4 Reps 18s, OEM R32 front and OEM

haha I could get you a discount and I have been there for 5 months, what is his sisters name?

Do you think my own bank would allow me to get a loan out of 1k over 2-3 years?

if i were you mate i'd take it one mod at a time and most dealerships actualy do finance which is easier to do and the car would be under warranty for the length of the agreement, of course if your crdit rating is good and you can manage it back with the bank then there shouldnt be a problem as long as you have a garuantor i think it is?
