looks a nice simple bit of kit, seems to cover every aspect of time lapse shooting.

The price and flexibility of the Astro are what appeals.  Obviously the thing missing is the slider, rather than just rotation, but then it's super small and something you can just 'have in the bag' to use whenever you want.

Budget notwithstanding I'd be there with a Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly, but then budget is always withstanding.  :grin:

Yes it certainly is an affordable option.  Although I'd imagine it could turn into one of those I wish I'd paid the extra for that also does this too  :undecided:

maybe, but as the price is about £120 vs £500+ for a dolly and automation set up I'd grab one... although you could do a LOT with a dolly.  :grin:
