how to remove the top boot lid plastic

here is a easy one for you guys here, just want to know how to remove the top boot lid plastic.



i am guessing once the bottom section is off you remove the boot strap hooks and pull down to unclip it ??? .

as you said mate take off the bottom black part where the grab handles are then you will see how it comes off its attached behind the bottom piece so need to take that off first  :smiley:


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!

as you said mate take off the bottom black part where the grab handles are then you will see how it comes off its attached behind the bottom piece so need to take that off first  :smiley:

so remove the two cross head screws and then pull the bottom part off,  then is it just clips like the bottom part then? so just PULL down lol

yes take out the 2 screwsand pull it off it can be quite hard to remove and iv never taken the part off your asking about but would of thought its the same clips as the bottom part

i ve had the bottom off multiple times but like you never needed to remove the top, but i am to spray it so it goes with the rest of the interior so needs must lol

Remove the bottom. And pull the top off! Needs a tad bits bruit forse!

A real 304bhp 286lbft in a mk4 golf!

Remove the bottom. And pull the top off! Needs a tad bits bruit forse!

whatever you do dont snap the metal clips, theyre a pain in the arse coz it'll drop into the tailgate and you'll never see them but always hear them, got mine out with a mganet and now theres a squeeking noise due to the lack of a clip holding everything secure  :lipsrsealed:  :cry:

lol i damaged some on the bottom part, but my car makes that much noise *nocking sound banging sounds i dont notice lol

you need to take the parcel shelf nobs off too, you'll ruin them so just order some new black ones
