bloody hard well locked in mate!! a lot of wd40 a swinging bar (jack handle) and a 17mm socket oh yeah and much swearing!!! they do shift eventually but takes some power!!!!! be careful not to snap them! Iif you can't undo them get a friendly garage to loosen them with a air imapct wrench. then take it home and undo fix replace! :)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

I had a feel inside the bonnet and i can feel a hole in the metal bumper where a bolt should go, i should be able to fix this with the bumper on!

How many bolts were there in total and roughly whereabouts?

cheers

Well removed the front and rear bumpers and found the cause of the problem, the bolts holding the plastic bumper onto the metal bumper were loose not really loose but loose enough for it to be wonky and wobbly so tightened those up and bumpers are solid now :)
My car has faded quite a bit in the sun when you see the original factory colour behind the bumper and the faded body hmmmmm need a respray now the list goes on!
cheers guys.

Just a suggestion, have you tried T cutting your paint? You could be amazed how a hard days work with T cut then another hard days work with some good pollish will bring your paint back to new. It is hard work if you do it propperly but worth it. And allot cheaper than a respray!

deefadog..

Take your indicators out of the big bumper.. get a bright touch and u should  be able to see down a rectaglar shaped arm which insides houses the two nuts which the two bolts that hold the bumpers onto either side...

Suggestion.. Get a can of WD40.. put that little red tube on the end and stray sh!t loads of it onto these bolt ends.. Let it soak.. Do it a day or so before ur gonna do the work. and again a few hours before ur gonna try and undo them.. Mine were rusted up but still came undone with a large ratchet, didnt need a breaker bar...

Another suggestion.. jack one side of your car up in the air.. gives you far more room to get under the car. these for more room to put some musle into it!!!

Hope this helps...

Good tip about the indicators ;)

But i think i can do this without removing them, as i can feel a hole on the inside of the metal bumper wherei think a bolt should be to hold it on the the plastic bumper!

I was just wondering how many bolts held the plastic bumper to the metal bumper

Cheers

doesnt work like that.... Think of your front bumper as one piece.. The bumper has two arms which go into the front of the car. The plastic bumper part does come off the metal part. but you wont be able to do this until the metal part has been removed from the car. The plastic part of the bumper is held onto the metal part with plastic clips.

Take the indicators off.. Your see what i mean...

Indicators are a easy to take off.. They are help on with one screw... And they then just fall out.. EASY!

U have to take them out to get the bumper off anyways.. else u will have the bumper off in ur hands and while ur holding this your trying not to scratch it on the floor.. then u gotta unplug the indicators.. easy if u do it first!!!!
