Right then the time has finally arrived so Ive got a few questions;

Are the jom/ fk streets coilovers a direct fitment or will other parts be needed?

Will my wheels rub on the coilovers without spacing (just for the mean time) running 225/40/18 7.5J ET35 ?

Secondly I have a strange situation going on, I purchased some non-hubcentric spacers a while back just to get some ideas on spacing where I came accross something very weird;

I put my 20mm spacers on the rear (100% both were 20mm as I measssured them) running 225/40/18 tyres 7.5J width  ET35 off set!

 near side wheel was flush with the arch  Perfect.

 How ever the offside wheel still sat in the arch a good 10-15mm with the 20mm spacer Swapped the wheels over to see if maybe one had a different offset, still the same . It almost like the axel has been pushed through to the offside!? although im pretty sure this cant happen? car drives straight doesnt pull or anything

what the hell is going on?

Yep parked on flat  still on standard shocks/springs 

Really baffled me, I take it theres no adjustment on the axel or anything!?

drivess fine which makes it even more bizzare

 if you are going to slam it on the coils you may need a 5mm spacer up front to clear the adjuster and its worth fitting all new top mounts and bearings when your fitting the coils

It's the same on all Mk4's with the axle, they all stick out further on one side.

You should change your top mounts when fitting the coilovers, if you go for JOMs it will be work looking at this thread to fix a potential problem before it happens:

as for the rear axle i aint sure i was thinking of the front  :embarassed: it seems to be quite common on the mk4 with one side poking more than the other

mine sits pretty much the same each side on rear with 15mm spacer  perhaps mine aint right then

No they don't. Mine sits spot on. Some mk4 do and normally its up to 5mm not 10-15mm

No they don't. Mine sits spot on. Some mk4 do and normally its up to 5mm not 10-15mm

I've seen loads that sit differently from one side to the other, not by much but but noticeable different. I've never seen one sitting 10-15mm further out though.
