according to the VW dealer, my edition 30 has been re-flashed back to standard ECU, but it's so bloody fast that I am starting to wonder if they instead left it with the APS remap it used to have (I think it had been taken to approx 260bhp).

I have no way of knowing, it just seems to me stupidly quick, especially in 3rd gear it almost takes off...

anyone would have any advice, or anyone based in west london I could meet? the reason is that if it is mapped I want to update my insurance

I have to say that if this turns out to be "stock" I actually wonder why I would want this car to be any quicker....seriously mates

thx

Couple of ways

1) Put it on a rolling road
2) Use VAGCOM to log boost and MAF figures
3) Race (on a private track) a standard ED30

Remap + ED30 =

I will go to APS in the future, but it's not exactly around the corner, and was wondering if there are any forum members in central london to help?

If you can't tell by the rubbish wheelspin when booting the engine then it's not mapped.
