oil change and general servicing ,how long do you do yours

im just wondering how long everyone waits to change there oil and other bits and pieces in a small service

i change my oil every 5000km oil filter also
spark plugs once a years
air filter once a year
brake fiuld top up now and then
coolant maybe once a year,after ive flushed it

i know its a bit to much but i like to do it myself and its not so expensive

i only drive 30km per day monday to friday and every second friday i do a 120km run to blow the cobwebs out

how long do you change yuor oils etc

Oil change every year, but then I dont do hardly any miles in the Golf! (400 last year)

Every 5000 miles I'l do engine oil and filter. I'll do gearbox oil every year or thereabout. Spark plugs every 10000 miles. Air filter I'll clean the foam one as and when it needs it.

I just went go off the service reminder on the dash! Decent spark plugs usually last 2 years, oil change and filter once a year, k&N box filter is usually given a quick clean with a air hose! Happy days

I do change my oil once a year (used to be pretty much 15'km or 10'mi), now only doing half as many a year since I live only 2 miles from work and used to have a lot more previously with my old car (but regardless only using good oils, nothing thicker than 5w-xx)
My finnish Golf ran 380.363km and the engine was still doing well when I scrapped it after moving to the UK

Other than that pretty much stick to schedule, i.e. brake fluid every 2 years, coolant 2 years (although due to thermostat housing leak and water pump change every 6 months on avg on my last car, reused some coolant though - as still clear).
Sparks I would only change every 30'km... unless only city driving and electrodes are burnt down or thick covered in soot so it wouldnt burn off.
Air filter makes sense to swap every year as well.

My oil has been changed only 9 times sinse 1996. But it's done 33000. You do the math

Full service and all fluids once a year, i do 3-400 miles a week every week and its fine.

I do oil and air filter every year. plugs 10-20k depending on quality ie iridium plugs last ages, fuel filter every couple of years, brake fluid every 2years. Coolant i do every 2-5 depending on quality.
