Heat gun is the only thing I have not attempted also - Giving it a whirl this weekend.

I have used a heat gun In The past. Works very well with quick results but be careful not to melt your bumper

Yes. I tried on my splitter first to text it as at least you can replace that easily if it went wrong, but you'll get the idea soon enough and it's an easy enough process.

I then finished it off with some bumper care just to give it a nice shine and deepen the black even more.

i use cheap tyre shine from halfords, works a treat, when i can be bothered that is

thinking of doing this as well. did you cover the painted bodywork areas that are close to the trim or just go for it as it is? just worried about defecting the paintwork..
