Can someone recommend me a ss exhaust system.

Hiya. As above can someone recommend me a good stainless exhaust system for a 16v. Buying a 16v doner on Wednesday and will be doing a 16v conversion on my 1.6 and thort it would be a good time to fit a new exhaust. Have around £200-£300 to spend.

And before anyone says, I did search

I would use magnex, Remus or janspeed. I would pick cheapest out of them. If I didn't have enough cash, then I would wait and save

has to be Jetex.. the bore is biggest

i had Magnex before this and that was good, didn't want to get rid of it TBH but the Jetex that replaced it is dare i say, better

I'd say Sebring but you can't buy them new anymore so that leaves Jetex as my next choice.

Just had a quick look on venom at jetex ss system. One says this

Fitting Point - Catalytic Converter. Diameter - 2.5inch or 63.5mm. Non Resonated (no mid-silencer). Ideal for high performance applications. Stainless Steel - T304

And the other this

Would you recommend one with mid box or without?

Want to to sound nice but not chav loud. Also would a middle box restrict performance?

Personally I'd opt for the resonated one with a centre box, it'll still sound decent without been stupidly loud. Performance wise it'll make sod all difference really.

Get non res with mid box mate

thats what i run, noise is virtually Nil, i get a nice grunt but you can only hear the engine/ Turbo experience on mine

I ran my Magnex with no mid box and it sounded chav

listen - this is no Mid box on a 8 Valve lump that used to be in my car

Agreed. Resonated is very quiet, almost no louder than standard, just a bit deeper.
