good option for bluetooth, sensors and MDI - london area?

hi all
I really want to have a few extras installed, notably bluetooth kit as I have the 510 module, and parking sensors, and maybe MDI (as my cradle doesn't seem to work anyway)

I spoke to Satnav systems, but they seem rather expensive: they quoted me a whopping £800 for front and rear sensors!!, and £480 for bluetooth and £300 for MDI

God that's a lot of cash....
any cheaper options around? also, is it really worth it to have bluetooth integrated with 510, rather than, say, using good ol' parrot?

Try oem retrofits - google em. Not used them myself though

I've bought and fitted both of these kits. They are spot on, plug straight in, but do require a bit of coding. If you can't do that yourself, I'm sure the dealers would do it for no more than £40.

Fitting is very easy. There is a "how to" in fitting the bluetooth in the Mk6 section, so have a look at that.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

thank you Dubber...I am very tempted to buy the bluetooth and then have the coding done by a VW center. so far I have had a good impression of VW Morden and Battersea. they are now checking why the ipod cradle doesn't work. is the Media Interface much better than the standard ipod dock?

by the way, considering I already have the standard ipod dock, would I still need coding if I swap it for an MDI?

I'm not sure what you can do with the standard ipod dock. With the Media In, you control your ipod using the touchscreen and have access to all its features, folders, playlists, mix etc.

The Media In also has a USB connection. I have all my music on a memory stick and use that as it works as well as an ipod through the radio.
