Slave cylinder flexi/pipe
« on: 14 July 2012, 19:05 »
Had a bit of a f**k up fitting my slave cylinder pipe today.

Long story short, snapped it being a tad rough when i was tired and shoulda really stopped working lol.

Anyone know if you can just put a standard bit of brake pipe straight through to it?

Or get a random double female ended flexi hose and make one up with brake pipe?

Cheers guys

is this the clutch slave pipe? I would of thought any bit of pipe would do as long as it doesn't expand under pressure.

brake pipe should work as the brake system is run using the same principle and uses the same fluid :)

The same principle as the connection from the body to the brake caliper applies. Lots of movement between the ends of the pipe - it requires a flexible hose.

A breakers would be the starting point if it was mine. Dealers next - and a custom made braided hose for maximum bling and pedal feel is the ultimate.
