as above just after some info on it and hear other peoples thoughts and to see if anybody else has done it as im thinking about getting it done on my anniversary all info welcome thanks for looking  :smiley:

It will smooth it out a little but the power gains are tiny.

As above. I've a chip in my 16v and its been ok and definetely smoothed the power out but don't expect too much from it. It also prefers super unleaded now so I try to stick a tank of that in every so often or it tends to pink slightly.

Pre-written chips are available from a few places but the ebay ones a few of us on here run are the cheapest I've seen. Saying that if you're going to be installing cams i'd be more inclined to go for a proper remap but this will obviously cost considerably more.

sorry to hijack aswell but tweed iv been thinking of getting some sort of performance cam for my 8v but i no fcuk all about them. any advice on cams and what to get and what i need to go with it? and what one to get? sorry danniboi for the hijack  :grin:

Ive got an ebay chip,its been good,very easy to install,made it better on fuel too,so for £40 its win win  :smiley:

see my last 2x 16vs were abit slow and slugglish but this 1 seems so much quicker been told that it may of already been cammed so guna check when i start back at work next week but i really does seem very quick
