This is true to a certain extent but use some common sense.

Had some idiot a while back regarding a bumper I was selling. The advert clearly stated 'collection only' and even says in the description 'Please don't ask me to post'. I then realise a chap from Portugal (as in living there) has bid on it

Politely emailed him pointing out the item is in the UK and Portugal is a bloody long way to come for a collection . He replies 'Oh I just arrange couriers for these things'. I again politely email saying I don't have time to arrange anything please read the advert yada yada. A few emails were exchanged clearly stating the above points again and again yet he still keept bidding.

Lost my patience in the end and cancelled his bid, blocking him from bidding on any of my items. Got this reply:

very unhappy with your last answer....i simply don't get it....i think you are a litle bit xenofobist!!
don't you want to sell it and earn more money with my bid???
simply don't understand....i didn't ask u any favor!!! ....u lost mate!

This is why I don't do Ebay
