Spax RSX Coilovers vs KW Varient 1's

Spax - Anyone have these and got any feedback on how they perform? Seem to have pretty decent spec; adjustable damping, stainless steel rings, etc. Only thing I see is that on the Mk3, they are 35-65mm lowering which isn't much. If anyone has any pics of how a Mk3 sits on them, that would be great!

Also looking at the KW Varient 1's. Good quality and a similar price but no damping adjustment but do drop to 80mm. I don't think adjustable damping is a necessity but would be a bonus. The KW's are tempting, and its a shame the Varient 2's are out of my price range :(

There are some eibach pro street coilovers currently on eBay going for £350. Look mint condition got to be worth a bid would post link but on phone.

I'll keep an eye on them Eibach's for sure. I was looking around £500-600 mark, so Varient 1's would be affordable. Wouldn't go with JOM, you get what you pay for and they are a budget coilover manufacturer in my eyes.

The SPAX RSX's are £500 new on Venom (RRP £600) and Varient 1's are around £600 new.

I would go for SPAX have the PSX Kit sitting in my shed :grin: Only issue with them is you can only really lower around 65mm.

I like the spax, but 65mm ain't enough I don't think :undecided:

If you want to go low I honestly can't see the point on spending £600 on coilovers.

Geometry will be out. Anti roll bar, tie rods etc. For any car to handle good the lower arms need to be parrel to the floor. And at a guess I would say 50mm drop at the most.

What do you want them for?

Any good coilover won't go low.
